mommy's home!

before i left for a week of work in madison, i asked dominic what kind of present he'd want me to bring back. he said the cutest thing; "whatever you think is best, mommy. and if i don't like it, i'll keep it anyway."
i found a cool store that badgers everything... socks, hairbrushes, golf stuff, wallets, etc. i got dominic a football outfit and a little badger football to go with it. he loved it, and said his name is "pittsburgh".

the last week in the green room

so it's dominic's last week in the green room, he's moving to the blue room (4k) on 8/31. in celebration, the teachers planned a fun-filled week. because i was in madison all week, i missed out on the dress up days, so tom was sure to photograph everything.
tuesday - crazy hair day
wednesday - silly sock and hat day
thursday - dress like a superhero day
friday - wear green & blue day

bay beach

dominic got to take the day off from school to go to bay beach with his grandma & grandpa, and his cousin allison. at first, he said he didn't want to go on any rides (he's been anti-movement since he was a baby... even hated his baby swing!). well, dominic did end up going on the rides and he even enjoyed them. way to be brave, kiddo!

slip & slide

we are off to a really fun-filled august! the whole summer has been packed with good times so far, so we needed to begin august in the same fashion. (yes, mommy did the slip & slide too, only i was smart enough to hide the camera before it was my turn.)

milwaukee public museum

as you know by now, dominic's school does a lot of summer field trips. we recently went to the museum & i chaperoned a group of 3 rambunctious 4-year old boys. it was challenging, for sure. and when we walked through the africa exhibit, it was like spring break... dominic, vinny, & charlie enjoyed the real-to-life female statues. and for the rest of the trip, i couldn't control them.... they ran through the museum halls yelling; "boobies!! boobies!!"

the teachers anticipated a lack of interest in some of the stuff the museum has to offer, so they created a scavenger hunt for us to do. i tried, but the boys were silly. here are dominic's answers to the bonus questions:

jada: why are buddha's walls painted red?
dominic: cuz, they made them that color

jada: why do you think there are birds on the rhino?
dominic: cuz they think they are rocks.

jada: how many orangutans are there in the asia exhibit?
dominic: 3 and a big fat snake
